Can I use vegetable oil to cook or bake swai?
Tina Bay Asked: Can I use vegetable oil to cook or bake swai?
I want fish for dinner and I don't have any olive oil. Can I use vegetable oil or butter? I want to bake or fried.
Answers:
Baked Swai
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2
Spray your baking dish with cooking spray. Coat the swai fillets with olive oil and sprinkle with your seasoning, if you are using it.
Step 3
Bake the swai for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the fillets are opaque all the way through.
Step 4
Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with a lemon wedge.
Broiled Swai
Step 1
Preheat your broiler.
Step 2
Spray your baking dish with cooking spray and coat each fillet with olive oil. Sprinkle your seasoning on the fillets if you are using it.
Step 3
Broil the swai fillets for five minutes or until they are opaque all the way through.
Step 4
Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with a lemon wedge.
You can pan-fry swai fillets, but this changes the flavor of the fillets slightly and gives them a stronger fish flavor.
Any oil is fine.Butter is only good if cooking at a lower temperature, because it may burn.
Olive, vegetable and sunflower oil are all pretty substitutional with each other but try to avoid vegetable oil if possible. It is bad for the environment and is most likely to be palm oil.
false.
esp. fast food.
orbbq. if i reheat up a hamburger with katsup on it, it taste like crud.
most of the time true yeah
Hmm….sometimes true.Left over pizza is better than freshly cooked.
This is true when it comes to peas and beans that are cooked in a pot with fatback to season them. They taste better once they chill and absorb some of the fat from the pork, and THEN when you reheat them, they taste some kinda good!
i said NO!
True, they always do.
why i'm happy i'm a raw vegetarian… screw cooked crap.
overall.. False
True for any sauce, stew, casserole.
Not so though for Roasted or Fried Chicken and certain salads.
Wow it brings me comfort knowing that there is a cannibal among us
Depends on the food. I think chicken is always better the next day but I don't like left over pastas
True & False!
Generally, soups, stews, banana bread & baked ham are all better the second day…and WHO DOESN'T love a cold meatloaf sandwich?
Just sayin…
